Survivor Philippines

"Survivor Philippines" began airing in 2008 and has all the same rules and game play as the original U.S. version. Tribe names are derived from the Pilipino language and the winner wins what is equivalent to almost $65,000 in U.S. dollars. The show has 18 survivors or contestants and instead of airing only once a week like the U.S. version it airs every night of the week for 39 consecutive days. Season 2 of "Survivor Philippines" is scheduled to begin airing sometime in August 2009.
