A young girl is murdered near Opole. Terrifying body mutilations and marks left in place indicate ritual murder. The matter is being dealt with by Commissioner Agnieszka Polkowska. Due to the extraordinary cruelty of the crime and the suspicion that the perpetrator may be a serial killer, the case is interested in the Provincial Headquarters. Polkowska, to her dissatisfaction, is assigned to the investigation of Commissioner Tomasz Mrówiec. At that time, Piotr Wolnicki, lectures on religious studies at the Opole university. He permanently works and lives with his family in a beautiful home. Already at the beginning of the academic year, the man chooses his humble and intelligent student Ewa Banach as his favorite. The girl does not know that her lecturer hides a dark secret.
A young girl is murdered in the vicinity of Opole. Horrific body injuries point to ritual murder. Suspicious that the perpetrator may be a serial killer, the Provincial Command assigns a reluctant Commissioner Agnieszka Polkowska to the investigation.
Agnieszka and Tomasz return to the scene of a brutal crime. After analyzing the traces, they come to the conclusion that the arrangement of the girl's severed hands is a clue from the murderer.
Convinced the murderer is targeting a new victim, an exhausted Agnieszka takes a brave step to try to prevent future crimes.
Agnieszka and Wojtek find a dying Ewa in the forest. The panicked perpetrator leaves her body without completing the ritual. Can Agnieszka save her?
Agnieszka, prompted by a mysterious message, delves into her past case files. She doesn't recall most of them, but she uncovers a crucial lead.
Agnieszka suspects that the murders relate to her past. Despite Jola being an unlikely target, Agnieszka begins to worry about her safety.
Agnieszka starts a desperate search for clues to find Jola. When Agnieszka doesn't answer her calls a concerned Wojtek and Roman seek Suzin's help in locating her.
