Crank up the 8-track and flash back to a time when platform shoes and puka shells were all the rage in this hilarious retro-sitcom. For Eric, Kelso, Jackie, Hyde, Donna and Fez, a group of high school teens who spend most of their time hanging out in Eric's basement, life in the ‘70s isn't always so groovy. But between trying to figure out the meaning of life, avoiding their parents, and dealing with out-of-control hormones, they've learned one thing for sure: they'll always get by with a little help from their friends.
Eric goes to California to express his love for Donna, meanwhile Kelso tries to talk Annette into bed.
Bob punishes Donna by sending her to Catholic school, which Eric opposes---until he sees her in uniform; Jackie is caught with her new beau.
Red's joy is substantially less than Kitty's when she announces she's pregnant; Hyde tries to tell Kelso about himself and Jackie.
Kitty's parents hear the news of their daughter's pregnancy; Eric and Donna counsel Kelso about Jackie and Hyde.
Donna's gift to Eric has beautiful sentiment, but no visual appeal; Kitty's mood swings strain Red; Fez applies at the DMV.
Bob throws a monkey wrench into Donna and Eric's plans when he sends her to visit a college different from where Eric is going.
Eric gets Donna a very special gift to show his feelings, while Red gets Kitty a dog in an attempt to quell hers.
Thanksgiving brings Kitty's parents, Eric's sister Laurie and Kelso with a date---Eric's math teacher, who has just failed Eric.

When the gang get their SAT results back, Eric freaks out when he discovers he got the lowest score of the group. As a result, he goes to some drastic measures when he starts to study to retake the test. Later, Eric accidentally lets it slip to the gang that he and Donna are engaged.
Kitty's dinner party for Fez and Nina results in a battle of the sexes, and not for just that one couple.
Hyde plans a covert party at Jackie's parents' ski cabin, unaware she's got to move out due to a foreclosure.
Kitty's parents visit at the same time as Kelso's California girl, who arouses jealousy in Jackie.
Hyde breaks up with Jackie, who has a war of words with Annette; Kitty and Donna react differently to Bea's cold shoulder.
With her dad away, Eric sees spending the weekend at Donna's as a trial marriage, but there's one aspect he has never considered.
Forbidden to yell by Kitty, Red opts to give Eric the silent treatment over his engagement with Donna. Meanwhile, Fez loses his virginity; and Kelso buys Jackie a birthday gift.
Thanks to Red's constant attempts of making Eric's life miserable after finding out about his engagement to Donna, the rest of the gang decide to stay away from the Foreman residence. As a result, Hyde, Jackie, Kelso, and Fez go searching for a missing Leo. Elsewhere, Red and Eric are less than thrilled when Kitty signs them up to compete in Point Place's Pioneer Days competition, where they learn they're facing Eric's arch-nemesis Mitch Miller and his father.
Now that Red has fired him, hoping that the wedding will be cancelled, Eric decides to go with his friends to a local job fair. While there, Hyde gets a job working for an old friend and Kelso decides to become a cop in order to extend the amount of time to maintain his good looks.
Friends debate what Jackie should do after it's revealed she's been living alone; Fez meets Nina's parents.
Donna finds Jackie a trying roommate; Eric can't make his engagement-ring payment; Kelso gets a job working under Hyde.
Nina breaks up with Fez, citing his neediness; the gang decides they need a new friend, but not the one Kitty suggests.
Fez has an erotic dream about a certain member of the gang, which greatly disturbs him. Kelso questions his own sexuality after hearing about Fez's dream, leading him to seek comfort in Jackie. Joanne offers Eric a job at a local dog food factory.
Kelso catches Hyde cheating on Jackie; Fez feuds with the school-paper editor; Red fights Eric and Donna's marriage plans.
Red has his final say on Eric and Donna; Kelso and Hyde agree to not pursue Jackie; Fez is arrested trying to pull a senior prank.
In the fifth-season finale, Jackie plays Kelso against Hyde on a pre-graduation camping trip, where Fez hopes to get lucky before his deportation.
