The Donna Reed show was a family oriented series which lasted for eight seasons on ABC. The Stone's lived in the small town of Hilldale, featuring Donna Stone, the mother of two teens and the wife of a pediatrician. The show was made up of half hour dramas concerning dating rituals, childhood illnesses, jealousies, loyalties, competitive friendships, and innocent lies. When the oldest daughter Mary, left for college, the Stone's adopted a little girl named Trisha. The next season saw their son Jeff leave also as the series shifted towards their neighbors Dave and Midge Kelsey.
