The Ellen DeGeneres Show is an hour-long, five-days-a-week, talk-variety show. This talk-variety show features comic Ellen DeGeneres in the studio performing an opening monologue and interviewing guests who include celebrities, newsmakers and ordinary people with extraordinary talents. Additionally, segments include performances from top music acts, audience participation and man-on-the-street interviews. Music is a key part of the show, with an in-studio DJ -- including occasional celebrity guest DJs -- spinning tunes and DeGeneres often breaking out into dance moves during the show.
This just in – CNN anchor JAKE TAPPER is here! The host of "The Lead with Jake Tapper" will tell Ellen all about his busy few months with the presidential election, riots at the Capitol, and the surge of the COVID pandemic. It's always an insightful and entertaining conversation when Jake stops by.
Then, DR. SANJAY GUPTA chats with Ellen. The neurosurgeon and CNN Chief Medical Correspondent will talk about his podcast, "Coronavirus: Fact vs Fiction," in which he reports the latest news about COVID, speaks with fellow experts, and gives all the information you need to stay safe and healthy.
Ellen then welcomes country singer ASHLEY McBRYDE! She'll take the stage with her song "Martha Divine," from her Grammy-nominated album, "Never Will."
It all started with the big bang, and now JIM PARSONS is back! The talented actor starred on "The Big Bang Theory" for 12 seasons, earning four Emmys for his role as Sheldon Cooper. Now he's joined forces with his former co-star and on-screen wife MAYIM BIALIK for their new FOX show, "Call Me Kat." They've reunited to serve as executive producers on the sitcom, and Mayim stars as a 39-year-old woman who decided to use the money her parents had been saving for her wedding to instead open a cat-themed cafe. Finally, Ellen will chat with Thomas Dodd from Tamworth, England. He recently went viral with a video of him describing how he drunkenly changed his legal name to "Celine Dion" and didn't remember doing so until a few days later... when he received a certificate in the mail confirming the change!
tWitch is back as a guest host, and he welcomes the fantastic JESSICA ALBA! The actress has starred in many hit films over the years, including "Honey," "Sin City," and "Fantastic Four." She's also established herself as a successful entrepreneur with her business, The Honest Company. She'll talk about that, and what's new with her three kids, and more!
Actor/dancer HARRY SHUM JR. sits down with tWitch! The star is best known for his work on "Glee," as well as "Shadowhunters," "Crazy Rich Asians," and the "Step Up" series! Now he's starring in the film "All My Life," a romantic drama based on the true story of a young couple that rushes to put their wedding together after one of them is diagnosed with cancer.
tWitch will then chat with 4-year-old JoLee Parcel and her mom Sonja from Dublin, Ohio.
