Designer Joel Bird, ecological gardener Poppy Okotcha and craftsman Bruce Kenneth help us revolutionise our outdoor space and inspire us to get out into our gardens.
Horticulturist Errol Reuben Fernandes joins returning team members designer Joel Bird and craftsman Bruce Kenneth on the show in which people around the country transform outdoor spaces with the help of a team of experts. A family in Chichester want a space where they can unwind after a stressful day, featuring a tea bed and a bespoke firepit.
The team are in Bradford to help a family create a grow-your-own garden, and offer tips on planting your own food. Errol Reuben Fernandes creates an edible layer garden packed with things you can't find in the supermarket, Bruce Kenneth creates a drop-down fence that becomes a table, and Joel Bird plants an edible lawn. Plus, Scarlett Moffatt shows viewers around her own garden.
The team are in Manchester to create a wildlife garden that gives a home to the birds, bugs and animals. Errol Reuben Fernandes demonstrates how to plant in a shady patch or garden, Bruce Kenneth makes a simple birdbox, and Joel Bird builds a pond and stumpery that will bring in the bugs. Plus, musician Toyah Willcox gives us a peek into her own outdoor sanctuary.
The team creates a very special garden for a school gardening club, providing plenty of tips and inspiring ideas for viewers on how to interact with an outdoor space. Joel builds an easy-to-replicate living roof, Errol fills the space with imaginative planting - from a crumble corner to a tomato-sauce bed - and Bruce turns the pupils' drawings into designs they will never forget.
