Llewellyn has been forced to employ teachers over the summer as casual labour but even they can't help the fact that his farm is running at a massive deficit. With Boycie's farm doing well, Llewellyn challenges him to a pub quiz in the hope of winning 5,000 pounds.
A family reunion leaves the staff of Winterdown Farm all tied up and lost for words, when Marlene's sister comes to stay. Love is in the air for Bryan. Boycie attempts to bury the past.
Mythical creatures go bump in the night and unleash a comedy of errors. All is not well with Mrs Cakeworthy's husband. Events bring a shine to Boycie's eyes, and Beth's Christmas present opens the door to the promised land.
