Next Episode of The Mac Davis Show is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Country-oriented singer and composer Mac Davis had three tries as host of his own variety series - the summer of 1974, early in 1975 and the spring of 1976. None of these attempts attracted a sufficient audience to stay on the schedule more than a few months. Regular features on all 3 shows included Mac's singing of his own songs, reminiscing about his growing-up years in Texas and informal chats with the audience (he was often seen seated with the audience during part of the show answering questions or sang and played his guitar). He would also improvise songs from title suggestions submitted by the audience. In 1976, in addition to Mac and his guest stars, three regulars were added: the mime team of Shields and Yarnell; comedian Ron Silver and a group of singers and dancers known collectively as Strutt.
