Each year the British public vote for their favourite moments and stars from the past year's TV.
Joel Dommett is the host for the 26th staging of the awards, which take place at The O2 in London, with the winners chosen once again by the British public. Among the highlights this year is the inaugural Authored Documentary award, which features five famous faces who showcased their personal plights - the Covid-focused Kate Garraway: Finding Derek, Katie Price: Harvey and Me, Rob Burrow: My Year with MND, Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency, and Marcus Rashford - Feeding Britain's Children. While the likes of Ant and Dec, Holly Willoughby and Bradley Walsh are among the familiar names up for awards, there are debut nominations for Des, Bridgerton, The Masked Singer, Normal People, It's a Sin and Taskmaster.
Joel Dommett hosts the 27th edition of the ceremony, as stars and fans gather for one of the biggest nights in British TV, live from the OVO Arena, Wembley. The NTAs celebrate television's best-loved shows and stars in the only TV award ceremony where the winners are chosen entirely by viewers. Big hitters including Heartstopper, Trigger Point's Vicky McClure and money-saving expert Martin Lewis are all in contention, as is cult hero Kaleb Cooper, breakout star of Clarkson's Farm. The Wanted's Tom Parker also receives a posthumous nomination for his cancer documentary Inside My Head. Will Ant & Dec make it 21 consecutive wins in the TV Presenter category? To add to the celebrations, Robbie Williams will open the event with a show-stopping medley of his greatest hits as he marks his 25th anniversary as a solo artist, and Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi takes to the stage for a performance of his new song.
