The New Andy Griffith Show

The New Andy Griffith Show was a comedy series shown in the United States. Andy Sawyer moves his family to the town where he grew up so that he can become mayor. The show was a re-vamped version of Headmaster, which had bombed in the ratings and featured appearances by many of Griffith's co-stars from his earlier hit show. Unfortunately, the show didn't do any better in the ratings than Headmaster had done and bit the dust after only a handful of episodes.
