Jean later spots a figure in the car park. Is this a suspect hanging around the hotel? Or are these rare and expensive coins the reason to think that Antoine was murdered?
Charlie's Aunt Fifi is fatally poisoned by a mysterious figure. Jean discovers that the deceased owned valuable antiques and collectibles, potentially making Charlie an heir. However, Fifi's complicated relationship with her half-sister Ines and her husband Alan may jeopardise that.
When the night watchman at the Ste Victoire library is attacked, and a precious statue is decapitated, Jean is determined to find out who is responsible. Could gangster John Marsden be to blame?
Jean is contacted by couple, Margot and Bobby, who believe they possess the original blueprints of Valletta, the capital city of Malta, designed by Jean de Valette himself. When Jean and Dom investigate, they are horrified to find Margot has been violently struck.
