Next Episode of The Woman in the Wall is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Lorna Brady is a woman from the small, fictional town of Kilkinure, who wakes one morning to find a corpse in her house. Chillingly, Lorna has no idea who the dead woman is or if she herself might be responsible for the apparent murder…That's because Lorna has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking, understood to have manifested around the time she was ripped from her life at the age of 15 and incarcerated in the Kilkinure Convent. The Convent was home to one of Ireland's infamous Magdalene Laundries, a place where women were taken when they fell afoul of the social norms of their times – from those accused of committing adultery to teenage pregnancies. When it finally closed its doors, a score of survivors were left suffering in its wake. Very few women were able to go on and lead relatively normal lives, and others, such as Lorna, were even less fortunate in their fate. One thing all survivors had in common, is that none of them would ever forget.
A survivor's funeral puts Lorna on edge. Her sleeplessness is beginning to get to her. Is she seeing things?
Hope then comes through unexpected information about Clemence's daughter, and this might hold the answer to Lorna's child's own fate. But when Lorna finds a new ally it brings her to a devastating truth.
Meanwhile, Colman and Massey are at loggerheads. Colman feels that he has the evidence he needs to place Lorna and Aoife together. The net is tightening and Colman is desperate. A final showdown between Lorna and Colman then takes an unexpected turn.
Aoife's body is missing and Lorna is devastated by the news of the death of her child. The search for her daughter's grave becomes ever more fraught. Enlisting Michael to help, the two begin to understand the enormity of what Aoife Cassidy had come to share with the town. Lorna takes matters into her own hands and heads toward the convent, but will she be brave enough to face past demons?
Back in Dublin, Colman is reprimanded for his renegade actions. It feels to him that his nightmares are becoming real, and he begins to delve into his own past. A shocking revelation builds a new connection in the case. Does Colman hold the answer that Lorna is looking for?
Lorna and Colman become unusual allies. Piecing together the information that Aoife brought to Kilkinure, along with the evidence from Father Percy's murder case, reveals a widespread system. If they follow the threads, they might be able to find where Lorna's child is. They might solve the mystery of where Aoife is too. But this is bigger than just Lorna and Colman now. Meanwhile, the survivors receive life-changing news and Lorna fears the consequences. Colman's investigation pinpoints an enemy among friends.
We delve into Aoife Cassidy's past, tracing her days in the convent, her peculiar gifts and taking us right to Father Percy's door the night of the murder. But all is not as it seems.
Colman and Massey work together to capture the true culprit behind Father Percy's murder – but there are darker figures in the shadows who still walk free.
Lorna is close to understanding how her daughter was hidden, but an abrupt end questions her sanity. Finding Aoife at last brings Lorna the peace that she needs, although Colman doesn't see it that way at all. As a final gesture, Colman brings some good news.
