TV series describes the life of people in Mexican barrios. The series takes everything into consideration including the jealous housewife, the spinster, the strange family, etc. Each episode features the interactions between these people, neighbors, who must deal with problems both real and imagined, such as ghosts, treasures, rip-offs, fights, etc.

The series is based upon the Spanish series Aquí no hay quien viva.
