The series aired on the ITV network in the United Kingdom and was a comedy show. Malcolm lived with his overbearing mother and was a keen birdwatcher. Brenda who was Malcolm's girlfriend was also a keen birdwatcher. It followed their on off relationship and the couple were finally married in the series final episode.
