Next Episode of When Things Were Rotten is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Errol Flynn was probably spinning in his grave, but Mel Brook's version of the antics of Robin Hood and his band of merry men is a laugh-getter. Though it's primarily a one-joke affair, Mel Brook's brand of madness and a good cast, particularly Richard Dimitri playing the dual role of the foppish Bertram and a Chicago member of Robin's band called Renaldo, carry it off with all comedic stops pulled.
"When Things Were Rotten," the Mel Brooks created comic version of the legend of Robin Hood and his merry men (plus one merry maid),
with Dick Gautier as the dashing leader, premiered on ABC-TV Wednesday, Sept. 10, 1975.
Starring are Dick Gautier as Robin, Dick Van Patten as Friar Tuck, Bernie Kopell as Alan-A-Dale, Richard Dimitri.
