This episode is the battle of the Tamatis, as we head north to spend some time with local legends I Tāmati Rakena.

He's the young shepherd that found the bug of hunting a few years ago. This pre-roar hunt up the Mōtu gears the boys up for what is going to be a meke roar season. 

You travel the length of the country; you hear about the legends. Shaun Ford is him. Fordy takes us to the most remote station in the country, Muzzle Station.

The stakes are high, and the competition has been set, two bro's, two very different interest. Hēmi, a mad keen pighunter and his bro Korey who loves nothing more than deer stalking.

It's our first taste of roar season and the reds are going off their nut. Tāmati is fizzing to hear the symphonic sounds of a massive roaring red stag.

Patukino is the Māori aquaman, centered his whole life around the water. Commercial diver by day, mad keen hunter by night....and whenever the sea is paru.
