Eddie Hall, who has won Britain's Strongest Man four times, finished 3rd in this competition last year and he begins his assault on this year's title in this heat. But he will have strong competition, particularly from up-and-coming Mateusz Kieliszkowski from Poland who is just 23 years old, and one of the fastest athletes in the history of this event.
Lithuanian Zydrunas Savickas returns to World's Strongest Man after a year away battling injury. He's back leaner than ever, but his ambition remains very much heavyweight. Also battling for one of the two spots available in the final is Britain's Terry Hollands.
The ten most powerful men in the competition come together to battle it out for this year's title. The action starts with the Tyre Flip in which the athletes have to flip a half-tonne tyre six times, followed by a 320kg Squat Lift, then a Viking Press. After which the athletes have to gear up for a colossal 25-tonne plane pull! The Deadlift will be hotly contested, before mighty Atlas Stones decide the champion.
