The country's most prestigious bike builders put their reputations on the line in the ultimate test of creativity and craftsmanship. Each episode of Wrench Against the Machine pits two teams in a head-to-head battle, with only three days and $3,000 to transform basic stock motorcycles into rowdy, riding, works of art.
Teams from Spirit Lake Customs and Seaweed and Gravel are challenged to turn a stock street bike into a classic flat tracker; electrical issues force both teams to work together.
Both teams get thrown for a loop after being asked to make a chopper out of a late-1970s Japanese bike; Australian master fabricator Craig Rodsmith leads Chicago's Rod Smith Cycles against Justin Webster and J. Webster Designs from Gainesville, Fla.
Scott Halbleib's H Garage takes on James Compton's Compton Customs; a belt-driven starter bike foils Compton's plans to upgrade performance while H Garage battles sleep deprivation to finish their build in time.
James Vann and Bedlam Werks from Athens, Ga., take on Cameron Jones and Los Angeles' Lucky Wheels in a showdown heavily affected by wintry Midwestern weather and riding conditions.
