Next Episode of Wussywat the Clumsy Cat is
unknown.
The slapstick antics of a curious little cat who discovers new things in the world around him through his innocent, uncoordinated clumsiness.
Wussywat discovers compost and how to make it. Wussywat helps Ortus put compost on his cabbage seedlings but when it runs out, it's up to Wussywat to see if he can find some more. Maybe Ird can help? No, she's just eaten loads of apples and is too full to fly. How about Oggy, who is playing in the grass cuttings? No, even his super-sniffer can't find any more. Wussywat trudges back to tell Ortus the bad news, but when Duckadile points out he's covered in bits of apple, leaves and grass Wussywat has the idea to create a brand new compost heap out of all the stuff! What a clever cat!
Wussywat discovers books and how to learn things from them. Wussywat is playing Musketeers with Duckadile using rhubarb swords. He falls into a pile of books and one of them opens at a story about dragons and princesses. They all decide to play knights and dragons and take it in turns being one or the other. Wussywat and Oggy get tangled in the Vegie Patch with a book about vegetables. When it's Duckadile's turn to be the knight Wussywat can't see anywhere to hide until he finds a book on how to build igloos. He thinks it looks like a dragon's cave so he sets about building one... out of books! What a clever cat!
Wussywat is bored. The only thing new in the garden is a pile of coloured paper. Then he becomes intrigued with his friends' new things - Ortus's pink hat, Jinja's blue plane, and Duckadile's yellow boat. But one by one he clumsily makes each one muddy, crumpled or soggy. Wanting to make it up to his friends, Wussywat tries to repair the damage and discovers the hat, plane and boat are all made of folded paper, just like the pile near the shed. Wussywat copies the folds and makes lots of new paper things for his friends. What a clever cat!
Wussywat finds a microphone and recorder. Ortus explains it's for singing and Ird insists on showing them her singing and tap dancing act. Wussywat tries to record her but speeds her up and slows her down by pressing the wrong buttons. Ird goes off in a sulk so Ortus shows him how to record things properly. They find lots of different sounds, one of which, Oggy's wagging tail, has the same rhythm as Ird's song. Wussywat makes a sampled backing track for her so she can sing for them again. What a clever cat!
Wussywat discovers leaves and learns how to how to rake. It's autumn in the garden, and Duckadile is teaching Wussywat acrobatics. He back flips into a pile of Ortus's leaves, causing a mess. Duckadile tries raking them but makes even more mess. Wussywat tries using the rake but launches himself into Egnog, sending him up a tree. With a bit of teamwork, Wussywat and friends manage to tidy the leaves into one big pile, but they forget about Egnog. Wussywat puts his acrobatics to the test and uses the springy rake like a pole vaulter, vaulting up to rescue Egnog and land safely in the pile of leaves! What a clever cat.
Wussywat discovers jumble and how to make a fancy-dress scarecrow. Wussywat finds some old clothes while avoiding some naughty crows going after Ortus' seeds. He starts a fancy dress game with everyone, playing with the assorted hats, ties and trousers. The crows keep bothering Ortus so Wussywat tries to find something to help keep them away. He finds a superhero mask that turns out to be a pair of spotty underpants and when he and Oggy become entangled in the clothes he realises they look like scarecrows. So they make a superhero scarecrow to stop the naughty crows. What a clever cat!
Wussywat discovers surprises and how to make a special one. Wussywat digs up a rubber ducky in the sand pit. When he tries to make it into a surprise gift for Duckadile, he ends up knocking Ird out of her tree, before rolling himself up in Ortus's wallpaper. In the process, he puts on a fine display of lumberjack log dancing! Finally Duckadile is thrilled with his surprise gift, beautifully wrapped by Wussywat in Ortus's wallpaper and tied with Ird's ribbon. What a clever cat!
Wussywat discovers recycling and how to tidy up. There's been a storm overnight and a load of rubbish has blown into the Garden. Wussywat helps Ird tidy up but the wind whooshes in again and blows him into Ortus and Duckadile, sending the rubbish and bags flying. Wussywat apologizes and Ortus tells him Ird is recycling so they put all the rubbish in different piles. But then he kicks the piles over, rolls into the shed and gets stuck in some boxes. What will he do now? Well, the boxes will make great containers for the rubbish and they can be recycled too. What a clever cat!
There's a strange smell in the garden and Wussywat doesn't like it, so he tries to find out what it is. First he encounters Ortus in his herb garden. His herbs smell nice. Then Oggy takes him on a sniff chase only to find loads of nice smelling flowers. Next, he and Duckadile discover Ird's newly baked cakes - but they are too yummy to smell bad. Then Wussywat discovers the compost heap which is really, really stinky! Wussywat has the idea to take some of the nice smelling things and put them around the stinky thing. What a clever cat!
Wussywat and friends are going to have a party. Wussywat can't wait and tries to make it happen quicker, but a tug of war with the pillows ends with Ortus covered in feathers. Duckadile's picnic set gets juggled into an untidy heap and Wussywat squidges Ird's cupcakes! Finally, Wussywat decides to take a more relaxed approach and close his eyes and wait. When he opens his eyes again... a lovely party has materialised. What a clever cat!
Wussywat finds a sofa in the garden and starts jumping on it. He finds some bats under the cushions and a squeaky ball so they play squeaky tennis. In the process, Wussywat manages to mess up Ird's jigsaw of a boat so she has to start again. Wussywat likes the jigsaw so asks Ortus if he has any more in the shed. He doesn't but he does have lots of other things, including a rubber ring that Duckadile starts to play pretend with. Wussywat has the idea to make a pretend jigsaw and uses the different objects to make a boat out of the sofa. What a clever cat!
Wussywat finds a box full of musical instruments. He's never seen them before so has no idea how each one is played. He tries hard to work it out but every time he tries to play an instrument, he ends up falling back into the box with a clatter and bash. Duckadile works out how to play the sax, Ortus is a natural on the accordion and Ird loves the violin. Poor Wussywat kicks the box in frustration. But then realises there is one instrument he can play... the clattering, bashing box, just like a set of drums! What a clever cat!
Ird is painting a picture of her tree. Wussywat tries to join in, but he ends up mixing up the paints! Duckadile enters and has a go at some squirty watercolours, but Wussywat forces him to splurge on Ird's painting instead. Ird likes the splodgy new look, but Wussywat doesn't understand as he thinks a painting should look like something. Ortus says it doesn't matter and shows Wussywat how to make patterns. When Wussywat knocks over the paint to make footprints, he has the idea to make patterns by walking on the canvas. What a clever cat!
Wussywat is drawing a butterfly while Eli practises for a 'fun run'. She needs to focus so he goes to play with Jinja, who has a pogo stick. He tries his hand but gets distracted by a real butterfly and falls over. Oggy is playing with a hula hoop; Wussywat has a go but gets distracted once more. What about skipping with Duckadile? Nope, gets distracted! He meets Eli again, focussed in a concentration exercise pose. Wussywat has the idea to do the same and focuses on his drawing of a butterfly as he tries all the activities again. At last he manages to concentrate and stay balanced at the same time. What a clever cat!
Wussywat and Duckadile are on a picnic. Ortus and Ird meet them and ask if they want to go on a bug hunt. They say they will go after they have eaten but the fruit starts making a run for it. Very strange! Ortus and Ird return but then the sandwiches set off, causing mayhem, with everyone giving chase. A pile-up occurs and, using Ortus' magnifying glass, Wussywat discovers it's an army of ants that are moving the food! He proposes to move the picnic things out of the ants' way so they can eat and watch the bugs at the same time. What a clever cat.
