Kate Humble helps people looking for a simpler life in the country.
The presenter meets more folks embarking on ambitious moves to pastures new, beginning with Kathryn and Steve. Along with their six children, they are leaving Solihull for the Welsh Borders. They've bought a dilapidated house in dire need of upgrading to make it liveable for their large family. It's currently two dwellings that they need to turn back into one big house with enough bedrooms for all the kids.
The presenter meets four generations of one family who are desperate to leave the busy seaside town of Eastbourne for a quieter country life. Melissa and Dan are giving up their full-time jobs to concentrate on their new adventure with their two young girls, and they've bought a 12.5-acre smallholding in rural north Devon. Melissa's mum and dad are also selling up and coming along with them - and they're bringing Melissa's grandmother.
The presenter joins Jodie and Ben, their two small children and two massive dogs at the cramped rented house they've been calling home for years. Having spent all their lives in Essex, they want to step away from the convenience of the city and appreciate life's adventures in the remote Welsh countryside.
Kate is in Ipswich, where teachers Rob and Nicola have been so desperate to move to the country for a whole new adventure that they've even split their family in two to make it happen. With Rob set to retire, and their three teenage sons getting ready to fly the nest, the couple scoured the country looking for the best place to make their forever home. They finally plumped for County Tyrone in rural Northern Ireland
