Seven's new series follows young Homicide Detectives Simon (Daniel MacPherson, Neighbours, Tripping Over), Duncan (Aaron Pedersen, Water Rats), Jennifer (Nadine Garner, Water Rats, Stingers) and Matt (Damien Richardson) as they try to deal with the reality of their jobs in their personal and professional lives. With the help of their Superintendent (Noni Hazlehurst, Better Homes and Gardens) and Senior Sergeant (Shane Bourne, Thank God You're Here, MDA) they go about trying to solve some of Melbourne's most brutal homicides. When a wanted armed robber is found dead in an unrelated family crypt during a funeral service, Homicide bang heads with some unfriendly colleagues from the Armed Robbery squad. When the AR squad muscles in on the Homicide case, internal politics reaches boiling point. Meanwhile, tension tightens between detectives when Duncan's more than apprehensive to work with Jennifer.
Matt pushes the boundaries when he fails to turn in a letter from a capture fugitive. Instead, he fulfils the fugitive's wish to pass the letter to his sick mother, and finds himself caught up in a murder case which should have been open-and-shut. With his job on the line, Matt continues his invesitgation contrary to orders. Meanwhile, Jennifer struggles to hide her emotions in light of a traumatic event and seeks advice from an unlikely source.
When Stanley's god-daughter is found murdered and other teenage girls have disappeared, City Homicide have a personal stake in catching the monster responsible and Stanley may have to cross the line to do it.

In the Series Finale for 2007, tonight's murder mystery sparks an emotionally charged investigation when a dogfight between neighbours leads to the discovery of a buried secret. For Homicide it's the beginning of their toughest investigation yet.
