Seven's new series follows young Homicide Detectives Simon (Daniel MacPherson, Neighbours, Tripping Over), Duncan (Aaron Pedersen, Water Rats), Jennifer (Nadine Garner, Water Rats, Stingers) and Matt (Damien Richardson) as they try to deal with the reality of their jobs in their personal and professional lives. With the help of their Superintendent (Noni Hazlehurst, Better Homes and Gardens) and Senior Sergeant (Shane Bourne, Thank God You're Here, MDA) they go about trying to solve some of Melbourne's most brutal homicides. When a women dies from using a tainted diet product, it leads the team to a con-man targeting victims from weight loss meetings.
A series of ATM explosions end in several deaths, the team have trouble identifying a baby killed in the blast.
The team investigate an apparent home invasion gone wrong but have difficulty assessing the young son who was the sole witness to the crime.

Meanwhile, the team investigate the death and dumping of a council worker in a submerged car and find links to a housing estate on contaminated soil and a private investigator who was silenced. The investigation leads Simon to be suspended after the alleged culprit falls from his building.
