In Come Dine with Me: The Professionals, teams of professional chefs and restaurateurs will take on each other in a bid to be crowned the best independent restaurant in their town, county or city. Each self-contained episode will feature three local eateries competing to claim the prestigious CDWM:TP award and a cash prize shared among the winning restaurant's staff. Each restaurant will be represented by a partnership of two – for example the owner and head chef – who will welcome their rivals for a meal that they hope will impress. Iconic CDWM voiceover Dave Lamb will be bringing the action together as narrator of each programme.

In Swansea, the first hosts are childhood mates Ash and Suj from Adelina's, who pit their modern Indian cooking against their fellow pros. The second hosts, Matthew and Nathan, serve up a Welsh experience at The Dillwyn Arms. There's high praise for their stunning 'proper' chips, before the night's topped off with some enlightening exposés and lashings of laughter. The final night is at Juniper Place, where Britt and Jas are confident that their menu can bag them the prize. The perfectly cooked starter impresses, but the meaty main gets a rough review.
The first hosts in Birmingham and Wolverhampton, chef Adian and his fiancée, front of house manager Eloise, hope to showcase their Caribbean/Asian fusion menu at Adian's Dining. But when some of their fellow foodies are vocal about what they do, it leaves others nervous about what's to come. On the second day, birthday boy Kieran and chef Brandy show off their culinary skills with a pop-up Caribbean bagel fest at Smoking Bagels. But have they set the standard when it comes to honest feedback? The last hosts, Simon and Fiona, treat their guests to a Wild West extravaganza at their American BBQ-themed restaurant, Rodeos.

The first hosts in the North East, brothers Zak and Shuhel, are confident that their modern twist on traditional Indian cooking will impress their fellow professionals, at Babul's in Darlington. Their plant-based dessert is a game-changer for two vegan rivals, but their starter leaves their other guests - fellow Indian restaurateurs - feeling cold. Next up, will Alice and Alex's pizza fingers and meat-free burgers impress their rivals' picky palettes, at their vegan restaurant, V-Edge, in Middlesbrough? The night ends on a high as the rival restaurateurs reveal their previous professions and share unusual impressions alongside the dessert. Finally, Shay and Syed host at their traditional family-run Indian restaurant, Sheesh Mahal, in Hartlepool. After two strong nights, will their lamb alternative wow their vegan guests?
The first hosts in Exeter, Dan and Luke, risk it all with their fried chicken fare at Eat the Bird. Some of their guests get stuck in, but others aren't backwards about coming forwards with their opinion. Rachel and Darren from The Lord Nelson Inn gun for the prize with a menu of their favourite flavours, including two Asian-inspired dishes and on the final night, Simon and Theo from The Puffing Billy flex their foodie muscles with some elevated pub classics.
