Each programme aims to give an insider's guide to what to buy for Christmas by testing, rating and reviewing the very latest products jostling for a place under the tree.
The presenter provides festive consumer advice beginning with a guide to toys. He visits a school to see if the classic Rubik's Cube can compete with modern equivalents. Christopher Biggins joins a group of families to test out the latest board games, Angellica Bell and Dallas Campbell test out new educational toys for different age ranges, and Dancing on Ice's Matt Evers road tests inline skates. Plus, consumer journalist Harry Wallop presents a guide to advent calendars.
A guide to this year's best gifts and gadgets. Sport commentator Chris Kamara and his son join gymnasts Ellie and Becky Downie to see what fitness gifts are worth the price tag, tech journalist Georgie Barrat reveals her best buys of the year, and journalist and restaurant critic Grace Dent tries out a selection of food-inspired kits.
The series concludes with tips on buying food and drink, starting with alternatives to turkey for Christmas dinner - including meat, fish and vegetarian options. Matt Tebbutt offers advice on the best value for money when giving gift hampers, and The Great British Bake Off's Bryony May Williams judges a gingerbread baking contest. Grace Dent challenges members of the public to tell the difference between luxury and supermarket food, and the stars of The Only Way Is Essex offer tips on making cocktails.
