Lucifer tries to determine who--or what--gave him angel wings, and discovers that his devil face has been stolen. Meanwhile, the precinct gets a new commander and the team finds a corpse at the scene of Lucifer's kidnapping.
Lucifer and Chloe investigate the death of a failed comedian, while Lucifer tries to find out more about the Sinnerman. Meanwhile, Amenadiel tells Linda that God is testing him, and Marcus warns Lucifer that he's encountered the Sinnerman before.
A bored Maze takes Lucifer's advice and goes after the most dangerous human killer she can find: a man who shot two teenagers and has been on the run ever since. However, Chloe worries that Maze is in over her head.
While investing the death of a youth counselor, Chloe wonders why Marcus dislikes her. Meanwhile, Amenadiel tries to live Lucifer's life to figure out why God has tasked him with his brother.
A food chemist is scalded to death in a vat of his own pudding after a struggle, and the police look into the matter. The head of company has Charlotte as his lawyer, and Lucifer suspects that God is up to something new by bringing Charlotte back into his life.
When Lucifer discovers his ex-fake-wife, Candy, has gone missing, he hightails it to Las Vegas with Ella in tow. Together, the two of them work to find her, but interesting secrets are revealed along the way that could compromise the investigation. Meanwhile, Chloe is upset that Lucifer left on her birthday, so Linda tries to lift her spirits.
Reporter Reese Getty discovers that the man who has been sleeping with his wife is Lucifer, and sets out to bring him down no matter what it takes.
Lucifer finds his views on popularity challenged when he and Chloe investigate a murder tied to a dating app. Meanwhile, Amenadiel gives Linda some advice after the death of her ex-husband.
Two people that Lucifer has done favors for turn up murdered, and he and the police soon realize that the Sinnerman is involved. Meanwhile, Maze returns to town and finds Amenadiel and Linda "talking", and figures that they're involved.
The captive Sinnerman threatens to take another life and unless Lucifer and Chloe take him to his victim. They go behind Marcus' back to do it, and Lucifer soon discovers who he's been facing.
In the first days when Lucifer arrives in LA, Amenadiel seeks him out for help finding his stolen necklace. Meanwhile, Chloe tries to solve a case and get promoted to detective.
Lucifer tries to figure out if Marcus is telling the truth about his involvement in Lucifer regaining his wings. Meanwhile, Chloe has had enough of Lucifer's selfishness and sets out to solve a case without him.

Ella's older brother Jay is the primary suspect in the murder of a diamond dealer, and she sets out to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, Marcus tracks down Amenadiel and wants revenge for Amenadiel putting the Mark on him and condemning Marcus to immortality.
The author of a science-fiction YA novel series is murdered, and Lucifer believes her missing manuscript could let him overcome his own "block" against thinking of a way to kill Marcus. Meanwhile, Maze invites Amenadiel and Linda on a double date.
Lucifer comes up with a way to undo the mark placed on Marcus, but things don't go quite as planned. Meanwhile, Chloe and Dan try to solve the attempted murder of the assistant to a Hollywood producer, Maze goes head-to-head with Amenadiel, and Charlotte goes into therapy with Linda.
Someone shoots a firework at a rock-star diva and hits her backup. Lucifer offers to help protect the diva to take the spotlight off of Chloe... and keep God from trying to kill her. Meanwhile, Dan tries to console Marcus while Charlotte counsels Maze and Linda.
A killer that Marcus helped put away in the 1950s has apparently returned, killing cheating couples, and Marcus insists on helping Chloe solve the new murders. Meanwhile, Dan grows tired of Maze's antics around Trixie, and Charlotte demands the truth from Amenadiel about her missing memories.
After a fight with Lucifer, Maze is caught apparently murdering a man on camera. Meanwhile, Chloe and Marcus grow closer, and Charlotte demands the truth from Lucifer.
Lucifer suspects that he is flying in his sleep, saving people in San Bernadino as an angel. Meanwhile, Marcus and Chloe grow closer, and Charlotte does whatever she wants figuring that God is on her side.
Both Lucifer and Marcus try to get together with Chloe, while Maze is furious that Marcus has called off their deal to frame Lucifer for Marcus' murder. Meanwhile, the partners investigate the death of a ballerina who was strangled with a slipper tie.
When Chloe take a vacation to plan her wedding with Marcus, Lucifer finds himself partnered with Dan and tries to do what Chloe would do to figure out her motives. Meanwhile, Amenadiel convinces Charlotte to help him undermine the wedding.
After Chloe breaks up with Marcus, Lucifer tries to recreate what it was like when he and Chloe first met. Meanwhile, Charlotte realizes that the suspect in a woman's death may be tied to a duffel bag she was asked to dispose of 13 years ago.
Lucifer, Chloe, and Dan soon realize that Marcus killed Charlotte, and join forces to find evidence that will put him away.
Ella helps Lucifer and Chloe investigate the murder of a child psychologist, and receives a visit from an old friend. Meanwhile, Dan and Lucifer turn to Maze for help when they lose the prime suspect in the case.
God contemplates what would happen if he had spared John Decker's life 20 years ago: Chloe is an actress, Ella is a car thief, Charlotte and Dan are crooked versions of themselves, Linda is a TV therapist, Maze prepares people for Hell, and Lucifer is... Lucifer.
