Next Episode of Mountain Men: Alaska is
unknown.
This new entry in the Mountain Men franchise follows Alaska legend Marty Meierotto, who chased his dream to live in Alaska in the 1980s and never looked back. He is joined by several other remarkable mountain men and women throughout Alaska, who provide viewers with a glimpse into what it's like to live isolated in the wild.
Marty has a near death experience when he plummets through ice on a frozen waterway. Meanwhile, Lauro journeys deep into the untouched backcountry by dog team to establish an expedition camp. Mike crafts a bridge from driftwood logs to traverse a rushing river. On the coastline, as provisions run low, Cub secures a deer to stave off hunger. And Daniel navigates swift currents, venturing to a secluded island to trap elusive river otters.
Buried under record snowfall, Marty fights to heat his cabin and maintain his trapline. Lauro and Neil brave the icy Yukon River with their sled dogs, while Mike ingeniously crafts a driftwood windmill to power his homestead. Bret and Ivy journey 80 rugged miles to a remote outpost cabin. Meanwhile, Cub upgrades his cabin with a new wood stove, preparing for the cold, damp winter ahead.
Marty digs his bush plane out from a deep snow drift to preserve his one lifeline in the bush. Bret and Ivy escape an avalanche from their cabin roof before embarking on their journey back to home base. Mike rescues his broken down boat and hauls it across open ocean to be repaired. Daniel catches his first salmon and steelhead of fishing season. Cub races to replace all the wooden shingles on his rotted cabin roof.
Season Finale. Marty escapes a blizzard and flies home from the trapline to reunite with his family. Lauro runs a 100 mile dog race and gets closer to qualifying for the Iditarod. Daniel takes down a black bear to provide meat for his family. Bret and Ivy journey back to town to sell all their furs from a successful winter of trapping. Mike searches for Kodiak brown bears in preparation for hunting season.
