Across the world, countries have turned some of their most incredible areas of natural beauty into National Parks, preserving them for generations to come. From the frozen expanse of Iceland's Vatnajökull ice cap to the steep limestone gorges of the Cévennes in southern France, this series will explore these areas by not only taking a cinematic journey from above, but also by swooping down closer to the ground to meet the people who use these landscapes every day, discovering the oftenextreme jobs they undertake and the unique lives they lead.
The Cairngorms National Park in Scotland is a rugged expanse of mountains, forests and atmospheric lochs, where a vibrant local community ensures their unique heritage is preserved and celebrated.
