Toadie sat on the couch, watching a video of Sonya that Piper had sent him. Kyle was asleep beside him, unaware of the emotional moment. In the video, Sonya talked about her New Years resolution of cherishing every moment with her family. Toadie was moved to tears by her words.
Paul is struggling with Amys departure, but Terese reminds him that there will be plenty of people around to keep him in line. Meanwhile, Roxy is taking care of David at Erinsborough Hospital and is feeling guilty for her past behavior towards him. Harlow confesses to Paul and Terese that she emailed Prue about everything thats been happening, but Paul warns her not to expect a response.
Kyle attempts to kiss Roxy, but she pushes him away and leaves. She is frustrated by the fact that guys assume she is interested in them just because they hang out for a few minutes. Finn wakes up to Aster crying and offers to help Elly settle the baby. After trying everything, Aster finally stops crying in Finns arms, and Elly falls asleep next to him.
Susan confronts Elly and Finn about their secret relationship. Elly pleads with Susan to keep quiet about it, while Finn tries to take the blame. However, Susan warns Finn that he cannot hurt Bea, whom he still loves. Paul is desperately trying to convince David not to visit Robert, the man who gave him a kidney. Despite Pauls efforts, David is determined to keep his promise and visit Robert.
Karl is cooking on the BBQ, while Finn is quiet, and Susan gives him a side eye when he confirms hes happy with his decision to move into Beas room. Lucy wants to hire someone with more experience and lock them into a five-year contract. However, if Chloe can impress Lucy in the next two weeks, Lucy will reconsider. Chloe is worried that she will fail, but her colleague Pierce tells her that it is an opportunity to prove herself.
Pierce returns after looking for Anita, who refused to discuss the situation with him. He berates Chloe and Terese for what they have done, but Terese defends Chloes efforts and claims that she needed a confidence boost. Roxy goes to see Kyle to apologize for her behaviour towards Sheila and expresses concern for her well-being. However, Kyle dismisses her and advises her to stay away. However, Karl seemed distracted and confessed that he and his wife, Susan, had a fight that had been brewing for a while. He asked Dee to visit Susan, hoping it would help their situation.

Bea visits Paul and Terese at The Hive, telling them that Ned has asked her to bring some paintings back from the exhibition. While discussing the situation, Scarlett eavesdrops on their conversation through a hole in the door to the storage room. Bea asks if they think that Ned is guilty, and Terese replies that she is still processing the fact that he turned himself in.
