Next Episode of Pawn Stars is
Season 23 / Episode 1 and airs on 23 January 2025 02:00
Long before banks, ATMS and check-cashing services, there were pawn shops. Pawning was the leading form of consumer credit in the United States until the 1950s, and pawn shops are still helping everyday people make ends meet. Pawn Stars takes you inside the colorful world of the pawn business. At the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas, three generations of the Harrison family - grandfather Richard, son Rick and grandson Corey - jointly run the family business, and there's clashing and camaraderie every step of the way. The three men use their sharp eyes and skills to assess the value of items from the commonplace to the truly historic, including a 16th-century samurai sword, a Super Bowl ring, a Picasso painting and a 17th-century stay of execution. It's up to them to determine what's real and what's fake, as they reveal the often surprising answer to the questions on everyone's mind, "What's the story behind it?" and "What's it worth?"
80's icon Taylor Dayne tells it to Rick's heart when she gives him first dibs at some memorabilia from her tours. Will she accept the offer or will Taylor say "Don't Rush Me?" Then, Chum hopes the force is strong with him as a seller brings a nutcracker Darth Vader into the shop. And later, Corey tries to hit a high note when a seller comes into the shop with an award given to Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner.
Rick takes a Bricklin SV-1 out for a test drive. But is this sports car a safe bet, or a bright yellow lemon? Then, a seller makes Chum a whale-y big offer, but does he have the backbone to make the deal? Meanwhile, Corey and Chum try to stay afloat with a limited-edition Nike raft and briefcase. Will he just do it or just don't it? And finally, Rick and Chum make a long-distance song request on a Shyver Multiphone, but will the seller be singing their tune?
When a customer walks into the shop with a camera that shot the first footage of Elvis, will Rick and Corey shake up a good deal, or will they return to sender? Then Chum tries to dig up some info on a mysterious fossil. Is it a dinosaur egg, or will Chum end up with egg on his face? Then Rick tries to strike black gold with a Standard Oil stock certificate. Will he buy low and sell high or will the market crash? And finally, Corey chomps his teeth into some Holyfield/Tyson tickets.
When an outfit supposedly worn by Alice Cooper hits the counter, it'll be "No More Mr. Nice Guy" as Rick tries to land a deal. Then, Chum gets mercenary when he makes an offer on a seven-foot tall Deadpool Pez dispenser. Will the seller accept, or is it all a joke to them? Rick and Chum trade looks at sheets of MetaZoo cards with an old adversary--will Rick get burned on a deal again? And later, Rick and Corey go for the gold on a sale of a 1988 Winter Olympics torch. But will they cross the finish line?
A seller comes into the shop with some chef whites signed by the actor who played the iconic Soup Nazi on Seinfeld. Will Rick and Chum say "No deal for you!" or will they reach an agreement on price? Then, Corey tries to make a surreally good deal on a Dali lithograph from a collaboration with Walt Disney. And later, Rick goes back to school when a seller brings in a signed page from James Dean's yearbook. Will he rebel against the asking price, or will it be a giant score?
