Still Open All Hours is a BBC television sitcom, a sequel to the 1973 series Open All Hours. The show was based around Granville, now running the corner shop with his son Leroy after inheriting the shop from his Uncle Arkwright.
In the opening episode, Arkwright's protege finds an old mangle in the yard - and wonders how he can best put it to use. Meanwhile, Beth continues to pressure Leroy to find a date for her best friend, Ruby, who has been suspended at work. Elsewhere, Eric and Cyril tutor Mr Newbold in the art of romance - and how to get closer to Mrs Rossi.
Granville's plan to open a new catering arm, offering his customers tasty toasties, doesn't quite go according to plan when his reconditioned toaster blows a fuse. Mr Newbold gets a little bolder in his pursuit of Mrs Rossi, while trying to avoid the Black Widow. Leroy and Willis meet Beth and Ruby with a view to going on a date, but Willis is worried that Ruby's not right for him.
Granville is selling ‘lucky' toy sloths, the Black Widow is learning to drive, and Kath organises a bring and buy sale featuring Eric's clothes.
Granville encourages Gastric to become a fearless hunter in an effort to impress Madge. Eric and Cyril finally get their wives under canvas.
Granville creates a blend of snuff and has to give the Black Widow a crash course in cycling proficiency. The ladies get dressed up for line dancing, and Gastric goes on a diet.
Granville takes delivery of a bargain consignment from Spain. Eric and Cyril fall out over a lost compass, and Mr Newbold gets soaked on a boat trip with Mrs Rossi.
Granville plans to put the magic back into Christmas, Mr Newbold mixes up his gifts, and Eric and Cyril are keen to try Arkwright's special custard.
