Digna doesn't know how to deal with what happened and can't bring herself to confront her family. Marta and Pelayo reconsider their cohabitation agreement. Pedro and Irene are worried about the Civil Guard's investigation. Andrés asks Begoña to lie to the Civil Guard.

Begoña tells Luz her worries. Tasio tries to reach an agreement with Damián, although De la Reina doesn't seem to budge. Sergeant Pontón interrogates Damián, and Manuela offers her support. Fina comforts Marta. Manuela is surprised to see so much affection between the two. Insecurity drives Pelayo to stake his claim in front of Fina.

Damián, with Manuela's support, tries to cope with his son's wake. Digna, hiding her guilt, decides to attend Jesús's wake. Sergeant Pontón may have found a clue about Jesús's death. The De la Reinas are skeptical of the theory of Jesus' suicide: it doesn't fit with his character. Luis and Joaquín show Digna the only financial solution to keep De la Reina perfumeries afloat. In light of plans to evict her, María puts her strategy into action to prolong her stay in the house. Fermín makes a kind gesture toward Irene: they begin to look at each other.

Julia, devastated by her father's death, still hasn't eaten. After Górriz's sudden resignation, Irene demands an explanation from Don Pedro. In front of workers upset by Górriz's departure, Joaquín announces his resignation. Gema reveals to Begoña that María has disappeared after kidnapping a baby from the nursery.
