The Venture Bros. is an American animated television series that premiered on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on February 16, 2003. The series mixes action and comedy together while it chronicles the adventures of the Venture family: well-meaning but incompetent teenagers Hank and Dean Venture; their emotionally insecure, ethically challenged super-scientist father Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture; the family's bodyguard, originally the ultra-violent and macho secret agent Brock Samson and his later replacement, reformed super villain and "cured" pedophile Sergeant Hatred; and the family's self-proclaimed arch-nemesis, the Monarch, a butterfly-themed super villain.
The Ventures move in to a swankier apartment; The Monarch must contend with a commute.
While Peter and Billy grapple with their archenemy to recover the red ball from Duran Duran's video, Dr. Venture must cure Pirate Captain of his tranq addiction to get him to save the company. Meanwhile, Brock is forced to turn to Sgt. Hatred for help when Wale launches an attack on Venture Tower, and Monarch discovers a secret lair beneath his childhood home.
Hank takes a job as a pizza-delivery boy and meets the mysterious girl he tried to rescue. Meanwhile, Dean is infected with nanobots, and Wide Wale hires Copy Cat to impersonate Monarch and destroy his reputation.
Dr. Venture is desperate to come up with an invention for a Science Now Conference, and experiments with mind-control gas. Meanwhile, Brock is shocked to realize that he's attracted to Warriana, Hank asks Dean for kissing tips, and the Monarch decides to embrace his father's legacy when Dr. Mrs. the Wife abandons their date night for a Guild meeting.
Dr. Mrs the Wife suspects that Rusty and Brock killed Haranguetan against Guild rules, and breaks the news to Haranguetan's widow. Meanwhile, Monarch and Henchman 21 set out to recover the Morpho-Mobile, and one of Rusty's new villains pays him an arching visit.
Blue Morpho and Kano go after the next villain on Dr. Venture's arching list. Meanwhile, Hank and Sirena sneak off to have a date, and Brock joins forces with Wide Wale's head bodyguard to track down the two errant teens.
The Guild believes that Rusty is Blue Morpho, and orders Dr. Mrs. the Wife to kill him. Meanwhile, Monarch initiates an ingeniously complicated plan to clear himself of suspicion by arching his new hero, Dr. Heinie, while Henchman 21 kills the next villain on Rusty's arching list.
The Guild and the OSI join forces to bring down Blue Maestro once and for all, setting up a giant sting operation at the Venture penthouse. Meanwhile, Monarch discovers that he's bitten off a bit more than he can choose when he goes after the next villain on his list: Red Death.
