The Venture Bros. is an American animated television series that premiered on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on February 16, 2003. The series mixes action and comedy together while it chronicles the adventures of the Venture family: well-meaning but incompetent teenagers Hank and Dean Venture; their emotionally insecure, ethically challenged super-scientist father Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture; the family's bodyguard, originally the ultra-violent and macho secret agent Brock Samson and his later replacement, reformed super villain and "cured" pedophile Sergeant Hatred; and the family's self-proclaimed arch-nemesis, the Monarch, a butterfly-themed super villain.
The Venture Building is haunted by a ghostly presence, and Dean calls in the Order of the Triad. Meanwhile, Hank poses as a hitman to win Wide Wale's acceptance.
The events leading up to Monarch's capture by Wide Wale are explained, and Girlfriend and Henchman 21 ally with Red Death to get Monarch freed.
The secrets of Blue Morpho and Monarch's parentage are revealed in a tale of secrets, betrayal, and infertility... all against the backdrop of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Hank feels put upon when Sirena doesn't have time for him and Rusty ignores him. Meanwhile, Dean grows tired of the super-science life and turns to the Dean of Science, Victor Von Helping, for help.
The OSI and the Guild meet at the Venture compound to sign the Treaty of Tolerance, with Rusty chairing. Meanwhile, Hank meets an old friend and Dean returns to Ben's house.
Monarch and 21 try to earn points with the Guild by mentoring a newbie, who has been assigned to arch Billy Quizboy. Meanwhile, Girlfriend convinces S-464 to become a double agent if she helps him get back together with Kimberly.
Monarch takes on a job with a team of super-villain thieves to help his rating in the Guild. Meanwhile, Rusty actually does something right and builds a working teleporter... but the OSI want to take it away from him.
Girlfriend discovers that Guild Councilmembers can't be active villains, and they all get one last chance to arch their enemies. Meanwhile, Rusty looks to date a black widow because he can't get sex anywhere else.
While Rusty and Billy investigate a mysterious weather machine, the Guild asks Monarch and 21 to act as disavowable agents and assassinate The Creep, leader of a rogue faction of the Peril Partnership.
The Council needs Rusty to help Ten Monarch. Meanwhile, Watch and Wade make an astonishing discovery about Rusty's bloodline, while Dean confesses his sins to a comatose Hank.
