Warship: Life at Sea documents the everyday life on board HMS Duncan, one of the most advanced warships in the world. With unprecedented access to the Royal Navy's £1billion Type 45 Destroyer over a seven month-period, cameras capture the most dramatic moments in the ship's short history.The series follows the ups and downs of Duncan's crew and reveals their lives on the ship in intimate detail, as these 280 men and women, including their female captain, find themselves at the centre of some of the most sensitive military operations in recent years.
Return of the documentary following the ups and downs of everyday life for a Royal Navy crew, this time going aboard frigate HMS Northumberland on a four-month tour of duty with the 220 personnel. Captain Thom Hobbs prepares his ship to set sail, with deputy logistics officer Meghan Burgoyne overseeing the loading of the copious amounts of food required for the time at sea, and young chef Sauhil James prepares for his very first deployment.
While off the coast of Scotland, Northumberland receives intelligence about a Russian submarine that's currently under surveillance and is one of the biggest and most dangerous in the world - and one of the toughest to find and track. New officer recruit Olivia joins for her first taste of life at sea, and while some of the men on board live in cabins with up to 16 people, she is sharing a room with just two others.
HMS Northumberland hunts for a Russian submarine in the Arctic Circle after the vessel disappeares from the ship's radar. While the search continues chef Sauhil is feeling the strain below deck as he helps cook dinner for the crew of 200, but the preparations are interrupted by a serious incident as poisonous fumes seep into the upper deck.

HMS Northumberland is deployed off the west coast of Ireland and receives intelligence that a Russian warship has been spotted heading towards Faslane, the home of the British Trident submarine base. There is a concern that if gets too close it could pick up details of some the UK's nuclear secrets.
