"You are my sister. You're supposed to drive me crazy." Twenty-eight-year-old organization freak Valerie Tyler loves her 16-year-old sister Holly. Even if Holly is rambunctious. Spontaneous. Impulsive. Disconcerting. And definitely disorganized. Then Holly moves in with Val, and the sisters discover they may make better siblings than roomies in this bright, giddy comedy set in Manhattan - and in the hearts of sisters everywhere.
Conclusion. Val literally wakes up to the realization that she and Vic got hitched while they were drunk. Meanwhile, Holly is stowed away in the backseat of Vince's car and heading to Florida

In Part 1 of a two-part episode, Jason Priestley plays a man who asks Val on a date, which she sees as a perfect way to distance herself from Vic; and Holly and Vince have a fight over jealousy.

Thanksgiving brings havoc, thanks to Vic's old flame, who heightens the tension with Val at a group dinner that also reveals Lauren's secret. It concerns the identity of her online lover, the "married poker man."

Valerie tries to make a good first impression on Vic's mother, who already has formed an unflattering opinion of her new daughter-in-law and refuses to change her mind. Elsewhere, Robyn steps up her efforts to seduce a clueless Vince.
Tina and Gary scheme to reunite Holly and Vince, but Robyn has plans to keep them apart. Meanwhile, Valerie runs afoul of Vic's firemen "brothers" and is upset when Vic sides with them instead of her.
Vic and Val learn their quickie wedding wasn't official, so they decide to get married right away, but a mandatory 24-hour waiting period threatens to end things before they even get started. Meanwhile, Holly and Vince pretend they have gotten over each other, preventing them from reconciling.
Holly keeps interrupting Vic and Val's alone time, so Lauren agrees to keep her company---with disastrous results. Elsewhere, Vince asks Gary for advice, and thinks he finally has a solution to his problem with Holly.
Lauren treats the girls to a day at the spa to relax before the wedding, which they sorely need when Val learns her nuptials will have a sci-fi theme and Holly loses Vince's bracelet.
In the series finale, Val and Holly try to leave the spa in time for the wedding, but get stranded along the way and end up fighting. Meanwhile, Vince says his final good-bye to Gary before leaving for Chicago.
