BBC Children in Need (also promoted as Plant Mewn Angen in Wales) is the BBC's UK charity. Since 1980 it has raised over £600 million to change the lives of disabled children and young people in the UK. One of the highlights is an annual telethon, held in November and televised on BBC One, BBC One HD, BBC Two, and BBC Two HD from 7:30pm until 2am. "Pudsey Bear" is BBC Children in Need's mascot, whilst Terry Wogan is a long-standing host.
BBC Children in Need is one of three high-profile British telethons, although the only charity belonging to the BBC, the other telethons being Red Nose Day and Sport Relief, both supporting the Comic Relief charity. Radio 1's Vick Hope and gaming expert and presenter Steffan Powell host a celebration of all things gaming to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Broadcasting live from Confetti X esports arena in Nottingham, celebrity guests take on games such as Just Dance Now, Mario Kart and HADO. Guests involved in this one-off event include Harry Pinero, Elz the Witch, Slogo, Wes Nelson, Yung Filly, Ellie Simmonds, Brandon B and Lauren Layfield.
Live from MediaCityUK in Salford, BBC Children in Need returns with a three-hour spectacle to entertain the nation while raising money for children and young people across the UK.

This year's BBC Children in Need is hosted by Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, Jason Manford, Chris Ramsey, Alex Scott MBE and, for the first time, Bafta and RTS award-winning actor – 14-year-old Lenny Rush.
Join Jackie Bird for BBC Scotland's annual Children In Need appeal. There is music from Rianne Downey, comedy from the Scotts and much more. Also, we meet the children and young people from across Scotland who benefit from the money raised. Projects such as East Ayrshire Young Carers, The Ocean Youth Trust and Sports Driving give Scotland's children valuable experiences and opportunities which they would otherwise not have.
