Next Episode of House Crashers is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
It's ambush renovation at its finest when licensed contractor Josh Temple and his crew of remodeling experts surprise unsuspecting do-it-yourselfers in the home improvement aisle. When stunned homeowners win the remodeling lottery, leaky faucets turn into spectacular room transformations. You never know when you might run into House Crashers and your fix-it project turns into makeover magic.
A hideous living room with stained carpet, lava rock fireplace, broken sliders to a hot closed in patio is completely transformed into a sleek industrial rustic living room. In three days, the 1970s fireplace is torn out and replaced by a concrete fireplace with a live edge mantle, a metal media wall with pallet media center are showcased with a 60 inch TV, plus the room is opened into a new open patio divided by 18 foot sliding glass doors.
It's a French flashback to the 30's and 40's when entertaining guests was done in impressive and luxurious parlors. Josh Temple enhances the usability of this living room and dining room by creating two sophisticated areas. First, for the living room, is an inviting cinematic sitting space featuring a fireplace accentuated by thin brick veneer and a 60-inch TV, art deco niches with a vertical aquarium backdrop, and chesterfield seating. For the dining room, there's a banquette built into a pony wall with ironwork detailing, a bar cabinet and draft tower unified with tile en pointe and sculptural spindles, a reclaimed table made from original flooring, and a hand painted silhouette of a French 75 field cannon.
A tiny outdated kitchen gets completely blown out and rebuilt into a vintage glamorous kitchen. What was a cramped kitchen, with tile countertops and old appliances is transformed into a long spacious kitchen with a vintage locker island, a walnut industrial dining table, blue vinyl floors, and custom banquette. Plus, all new appliances, new cabinets and gold finishing touches make this one chic kitchen.
With baked goods on the line, Josh Temple goes to work to bring a young couple the perfect dream space to whip up a lovely crostada. He'll turn their stark, dated, blah galley kitchen into a mind-blowing culinary paradise. The team will convert the laundry room into a spacious pantry with floor-to-ceiling cabinets with a rolling butcher block island and an oversized lightbox note pad. In the kitchen, all new appliances compliment the marble countertops and waterfall edge bar, luxury vinyl floors, mosaic marble backsplash, subway tiled accent wall, and a wood block dining table.
Josh Temple knows it'll take a whole lot more than a dab of concealer to renovate this makeup artist's bedroom. He'll rip through astroturf carpet remnants and a multitude of cobwebs to transform a chaotic bedroom into a Balinese retreat. In three days, the crew will craft a luxurious raised bed platform with bedside tables, new windows and a panel door all atop a renewable bamboo floor. Then they'll bring the outdoors in with a spacious deck-turned chill zone featuring a water fountain trickling down a pebbled wall, a slate skinned firebox, a copper and wood shelving unit, and a tropical reed-like table.
A cold and dark basement with too many doors, an unused fireplace, concrete floors and no natural light is transformed into the ultimate wine bar. This room gets outfitted with a floor to ceiling wall treatment covering a slick wine bar, a custom coffee table on wheels, bright new sliding doors and a one of a kind wine cabinet to top off the wine room! Plus, this wine bar has countertops that glow and become the main event in the space!
Josh and the House Crashers gang find an Atlanta couple who need a place for the band to practice. One problem is the band is huge and another is right now there is only a two car garage for practice. This renovation begins with a complete demo of the lower floor of the home. After framing in a few new walls the space gets completely re-imagined to be a practice stage as well as a nightclub to hang out in and enjoy the music. The one of a kind custom touches include a bar and storage cabinets, album shelving, a dropped ceiling with light show built in, and huge decorative wall panels. There's also cork flooring, a gray and orange paint palette, an overhead projector with surround sound, all new lighting and furniture. The homeowners are left speechless and the band gets together to celebrate this gigantic, hip new night spot on the Atlanta scene.
A tiny bland kitchen with broken countertops and outdated cabinets is transformed into a sleek French country kitchen. The kitchen is opened up with a custom reclaimed wood island that houses a brand-new wine fridge and microwave door. Old outdated tile floors are replaced by a warm travertine stone. All new cabinets, appliances, countertops that look like leather and subway tile backsplash make this kitchen pop! Plus a custom hood and unique stools make this a one of a kind kitchen.
Josh Temple opts for a bit of irony in this home by building several exits into a great room that this family will never want to leave. The fun begins with a secret door that is a bookcase by day and an adults-only bar by night. The crew also builds three new French door exits, a super-sized shelving wall that houses a ginormous TV, a shadowbox coffee table on casters, an artfully etched sofa console table, exposed beam ceiling, and a new partition wall that separates the kitchen from the new dining space.
Josh Temple tackles his most challenging renovation to date to turn a cold, mishmash space into 2 distinct but welcoming gathering spots. The top level features a quiet reading library complete with a sleek partition, cushioned storage bench, and a picture frame panel that doubles as a railing. Below, all new dual pane windows and a slider will add light while a brand new firebox lined with floor to ceiling porcelain tile brings in much needed warmth. The room is rounded out with all new furnishings, plenty of bookshelves, a Z-shaped glass top coffee table, a side table with a built in lamp, and rich birch hardwood throughout.
A bland office with a brick fireplace, dark walls and an outdated over sized desk is transformed into a cozy beach retreat. All new cork floors, a reclaimed wood fireplace and custom desk create a bright feel. The dark walls are replaced with light walls with a unique map treatment. Plus, this area is extended to the outside with new sliding doors, custom seating, exotic deck tiles topped off by a concrete fire feature.
An outdated and boring living room crammed with music gear and overtaken by the family dog gets a complete facelift and turned into the ultimate mid century music lounge. An old faux stone fireplace is replaced with hand made subway tile and sleek white marble hearth. Worn carpet is replaced with dark hardwood floors. A custom bar with staggered shelving and hidden bar storage become the focus of the room. A new media center flanks the wall for a brand new TV. Plus, a one of a kind walnut and glass coffee table and dimensional wall panels create one hip living room.
Perhaps the only thing better than a hilltop Los Angeles home with panoramic views of the valley is a sumptuous party room that offers up some gorgeous sightseeing of its own. Josh Temple and his team will turn a salt water aquarium into a unique wet bar backed with custom wenge shelves, build a floor to ceiling 3-D fire feature skinned in Calcutta porcelain slab, fabricate a streamlined coffee table, install rich, durable laminate floors, then glam it all up with sofas, chairs, wall unit and an oversized tri-globe chandelier studded with cut crystal dangles.
