The Super Sentai Series is the name given to the long-running Japanese superhero team genre of shows produced by Toei Co., Ltd., Toei Agency and Bandai, and aired by TV Asahi ("Super" refers to their use of mecha, and "sentai" is the Japanese word for "task force" or, literally, "fighting squadron" and was also a term used for Japanese squadrons in World War II). The shows are of the tokusatsu genre, featuring live action characters and colorful special effects, and are aimed mainly at children. The Super Sentai Series is one of the most prominent tokusatsu productions in Japan, alongside the Ultra Series and the Kamen Rider Series, which it currently airs alongside in the Super Hero Time programming block on Sundays. Outside Japan, the Super Sentai Series are best known as the source material for the Power Rangers franchise.
This time, the "deliverer" Taiya Hando is carrying a bride, Mira Shifuto! After taking Mira out of the church, Taiya escapes from his pursuers and encounters the "Hashiryan," a large cosmic invasion force. Hashiryan's purpose is to collect humans' scream energy "Ghassolin". In order to protect people from the Hashiryan, Taiya changes into Bun Red and fights.
Mira joins Boomboonger and visits the secret garage in the basement of Hando's residence. There, a meeting was being held regarding the next delivery jobs.
Mira has taken a request from a delivery guy. Her client is a boy she met at her part-time job. Mira is ordered by Taiya to complete the mission on her own and heads for the delivery destination with a bicycle.
Mira who was a Boonboomger member is recognized and enjoyed by the public. But somehow her hands were handcuffed. The person who restrained Mira was Shirabe Saibu, an investigator from a certain organization.
Jou is assigned to watch over the Boonboomgers. He wants to protect people in a cool way, so he says, "Please let me join the Boonboomgers!" However, Taiya refuses, saying, "You can't do it!"
Jou is the new member of the Boonboomgers. Ishiro, who is "too serious to trust a police officer who is too serious...", decides to follow Jou to find out what his "secret face" is. Meanwhile, there is a powerful new enemy on Earth.
Boonboom has fallen in love. Mira, as a delivery person, decides to take Boonboom to the person he loves. Boonboom falls in love with someone he never expected...!? Meanwhile, Taiya gives something to Genba.
Taiya reveals his real intentions to form the Boonboomgers, which is to participate in the "Big Bang Grand Prix", the biggest and most important race of the entire universe, while fighting the Hashiriyans was not in his original plans.
Taiya is seriously wounded after his fight with Madrex and Shirabe considers having the Boonboongers disbanded for his recklessness. Madrex returns determined to continue his fight with Taiya and the rest of the team confront him instead to protect their friend as he recovers.
Genba has his first solo delivery job for the ISA. Worried about him, Mira decides to tag along, when the Sunseaters attack the duo.
Taiya makes a special delivery to an old friend who inspired him to become a deliverer in the first place. Meanwhile, Cannonborg, another team captain arrives to assist the Sunseaters in taking over Earth.
Taiya meets Engine Speedor, a small, sentient car who asks Taiya to deliver him to his partner, Sosuke Esumi which is the leader of the Go-ongers.
Cannonborg completes his secret weapon, Boonboom Killer Robo whose powers leaves the Boonboomgers apathetic. Afterwards, Genba approaches the Sunseaters and offers to work for them with unknown intentions.
After Genba having successfully activated BoonBoom Safari, Ishiro and Mira pay a visit to an aquarium looking for inspirations to activate BoonBoom Marine, when the Sunseaters return with a fixed-up Boonboom Killer Robo, eager for a rematch.
Jou finds a monster created by the Hashiryan who refuses to attack humans and befriends him, determined to protect his new friend from the enemy.
The Boonboomgers meet Sakito Homura, a mysterious man who possesses the same powers as them, able to transform into Bun Violet and whose intentions are unknown.
Sakito makes an offer to Taiya to join the team. Meanwhie, Sakito's partner Byun Diesel is an old acquaintance of Bundorio and wants to meet him again, but Bundorio refuses and the past between them is revealed.
At the request of Hashiryan, Sakito sets out to eliminate the Boonboomgers! As he attacks, Taiya asks him, "Why did you abandon the Earth?" Will Sakito end up as an ally or enemy?!
The time has come for Tanabata but the event brings bad memories to Bundorio. Meanwhile, the Hashiriyans send a new monster that brings Taiya into a pinch.
Mira's ex-boyfriend Norio unexpectedly reappears. And he is with the Hashiriyan for some reason? Norio's "Wonderful Revenge Drama" begins in order to get his beloved Mira back from the Boonboomgers.
A series of unexplained fires have been burning down the town, and the people seem to be in trouble. Genba, who has become a "detective", deduces the cause...!? Eventually, the culprit of the fires is discovered, and Taiya changes into his new form, "Bun Red 119", and takes a stand against him.
The Hashiriyans send a monster who torment some children who are enjoying camping in the mountains, and the Boonboomgers field their new Boonboom Car to fight it.
Jou is training baseball with some children when the Hashiriyans attack them and an enraged Jou challenges the villains for a match, dragging the entire team, including Bundorio, Byun and Shirabe on it.
The Boonboomgers pay a visit to an after-school daycare facility where Taiya used to attend and learn more about his past, including his first love, when the Hashiriyans invade the place and put Taiya and Sakito to sleep.
A long time has passed since the Cannonborgs attacked Earth. Calling himself the modified captain, Cannonborg has tormented people. However, Daiya and his friends have thwarted all of his plans.
Shirabe is to explain the Boonboomgers to the head of ISA. Meanwhile, Taiya and the others have to fight a familiar Grumer.... What's more, something extraordinary happens...!? The 3rd LAP is about to begin!
Genba becomes enraged with Disrace's arrival and decides to leave the Boonboomgers. In the occasion, the other members discover more about his past.
The team is distraught after Genba left and Jou decides to work even harder to make up for it.
Sakito and Byun help with Ichiro's spy job, while Taiya tells the others the story of how he and Ichiro met and became friends and Disrace uses his powers to revive Cannonborg as well.
The Sunseaters try to make Madrex recover his memories to no avail, while Taiya faces him in combat again.
Mira works part-time on a curry restaurant she has loved since childhood. However, when a rival restaurant opens and customers mysteriously disappear, she and the other Boonboomgers investigate if the Hashiryians are involved.
Genba challenges Disrace and is defeated. He is rescued by Akira Nijino of the ToQgers who helps Genba get back on his feet.
Genba decides to rely on his friends once again and rejoins the team. In the occasion, the Boonboomgers use their new invention to transform into their powered-up form, Champion Boonboomgers to confront Madrex who is under Disrace's control.
The Sunseaters blame the Boonboomgers for Madrex's death and attack them with their own version of the Boonboom Trailer. In response, the team fields their new vehicle, the Champion Carrier to stop them. Meanwhile, the leader of the Hashiriyans, Waruido Spindo, finally makes a move.
Taiya and the others are astonished upon discovering that Bundorio was once a Hashiriyan and Waruido's friend. As he tries to cope with his past, Disrace challenges the Boonboomgers for a decisive battle.
Mira's friend Aki Nogi is envious of Mira's life as a Boonboomger, until she gets the opportunity to experience it first hand by transforming into Bun Pink too.
Ichiro meets another spy and old friend of his. In the occasion, Taiya discovers Ichiro's real reason to join the Boonboomgers and confronts him about his true allegiance.
The Sunseaters are astonished with the arrival of Weiwei Yarucar, an elite member from the Hashiryan who disbands the group. Meanwhile Spindo's right hand man, Grantu Risk, also arrives on Earth.
Shirabe begins investigating on her superiors in the ISA due to their suspicious behavior and the Boonboomgers come face to face with Waruido Spindo for the first time.
Jou becomes acquintance with a boy who idolizes the Boonboomgers and faces a monster who uses his power to expose people's most embarassing secrets.
The Boonboomgers are forced by a Kurumaju to play a soccer game and the team goes into disarray when Genba and Sakito have a big fight.
Taiya gets confused when Ishiro declares that he is betraying the team and that the Boonboomgers must disband, just when the Gokaigers appear to intervene.
The Boonboomgers are persecuted by both the Hashiriyan and the Earth authorites who joined forces. Amidst the chaos, Naito approaches Taiya and reveals his true colors.
Taiya is devasted with Naito's betrayal and Bundorio's apparent death and the others try to calm him down. Meanwhile, Disrace returns and initiates a plan to turn the public opinion against the Boonboomgers but Sakito and Byun rise against him.
With the society viewing the Boonboomgers as enemies, Jou is forced to choose between his career and his loyalty to the team. Meanwhile, Yaiyai Yarucar is turned into a Kurumaju and attacks the Boonboomgers.
Mira is offered a chance to have the Boonboomgers spared from Spindo's wrath by marrying him. As she is forced to make a choice, she and the other members finally decide between submission or challenging the Hashiryians.
The Boonboomgers are assembled once more and challenge Spindo for one last fight to decide the fate of the Earth.
