Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer search Oxfordshire for the perfect properties. Reena is looking for a geographical balance between her work in Oxford and her family in the Midlands, after house-hunting on and off for five years she enlists the help of Kirstie in the hope of bringing her search to an end. Tan and Steve live an hour apart and are looking for a place to call their own, Phil has his work cut out searching for the open-plan living space they want in the expensive area they are searching in.

Kirstie and Phil help househunters in Edinburgh. Phil meets Freya and Elliot who are moving from Aberdeen to the capital for the cultural buzz. Kirstie helps Edinburgh lass Sadia and Irishman Sohail find their first family home so they can finally move out of Sadia's starter flat.

In Surrey, Kirstie and Phil are searching for homes to bring their house-hunters closer to family. Kirstie meets Lauren, who has decided to move out of her London flat to her own place in Guildford after a serious health scare. She is looking for space to work from home but the high prices in the area leave Kirstie struggling to find a property within budget that ticks all the boxes. Phil meets Eleanor, Laurence and their four-month old twin boys who are moving from Birmingham to be closer to their parents in Surbiton, but with house prices where they are searching being nearly double where they have left, Phil has his work cut out for him.

Karen and Richard have a large budget but no luck when it comes to making a deal, so they enlist the help of Kirstie Allsopp in their search for a family home in the West Midlands. Having already sold up in London, the pair are desperate to settle down with their three children but Kirstie thinks it might be their very specific wish list that is the problem. Camilla and Liam are struggling to keep up with the fast-moving market and can rarely book viewings before properties are sold so they ask Phil Spencer to help them in their search for a property to start a family in. With Nurse Camilla often working nightshifts, the pair are struggling to fit in some house hunting, after some time with Phil there are two contenders but some quick decisions must be made to avoid losing out yet again.

Kirstie and Phil reunite with some previous house-hunters to see where life has taken them. In 2014 newly-weds Liz and Carl were looking for their `happily ever after" home in Hertfordshire and Phil found them a Victorian end-of-terrace in Tring for £395,000 which they had fully renovated after a year. In 2016 Lynne and her guide dog Lucy were searching for a new home in Bangor, north Wales. They managed to secure a bright property with a conservatory for Lynne to enjoy the light in.

Kirstie and Phil catch up with Steph and Mark who, in 2011, asked for their help to find a property they could live together and eventually have children in. Phil helped them find a project property with three bedrooms for nearly £40,000 under their budget. Today, they are still in the property which looks now looks very different. In 2020, Kirstie and Phil met Elliot and James who were looking to find a home they could share with four bedrooms and an open plan entertaining space in London. After a struggle with the budget, Kirstie found the pair a property, now Phil is back to find out what they have done with the space.

Kirstie and Phil catch up with two sets of first time buyers who took on the market with their help. Elly and Paul from Bristol enlisted Phil's help in 2015 in their hunt for a period home with two double bedrooms, a bit of character and some outside space for future cats. Phil managed to find one with a cat flap already installed for £25,000 under-budget, now he visits them at a different property to find they have upsized in more ways than one. Kirstie met Steph and Nick in 2018 who were looking to buy their first home together after seven years of living in their own parents houses. With hopes of finding a futureproof home for them to settle in to, Kirstie found them a property in Dennyloanhead that was perfect for them to make their own, she returns to find out just how that went.

Kirstie and Phil catch up with former house-hunters who were looking for a new start. In 2012, Kirsten and Scott moved from Kirkcaldy after Scott was made redundant and secured a new job in Aberdeen. Kirstie managed to find them a rural cottage close to Scott's work. Nine years, several moves and a few job changes later, the pair are back in Kirkcaldy where Kirstie catches up with them. In 2020, Digi had a big budget and even bigger expectations. She was looking for a country pile near London with outbuildings for both her businesses that was close to daughter Emily's school and full of character. Having a medical condition meant her new home also had to be fully accessible. Kirstie rose to the challenge but Digi realised if she wanted to find the perfect property she would have to expand her search. Two years later, Phil visits Digi in her new home in Abingdon to see if she managed to find her dream place.

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer search Glasgow with two couples whose budgets will not stretch to what they want. Kirstie is with Laura and Euan, who have recently returned to their native Glasgow from Sydney. But they are torn between their desire to be close to the vibrant West End or further out, where their budget will buy them something bigger. Phil has a wide brief with Miriam and David, who have spent eight months searching for their new home. He soon has success - the only problem is, they have each fallen for a different house.
